Smell it, don't smoke it.


PERFUME DEEP PURPLE NICOTIANA
Nicotiana x sanderae

This is another nod to Greg, who mentioned in his post that he hadn't planted any Nicotiana this year.
This triggered a memory, I am sure I have seen a plant like that somewhere...... 
Oh yeah! In my garden.

  6. OH I've never seen that lovely shade of nicotania in the states! Usually only pastels here! But you're right - on a breezeless evening, there is nothing quite so intoxicating as the scent of nicotania!

    For those of you here in the US - it is often called "flowering tobacco" in garden centers and catalogs.

  16. I grew these last year an loved them. I am really into 'Only the Lonely' which gets about 6 feet tall. I will should blog about them soon!
