My Brain was a bit Empty, but i couldn't get a picture of that so i thought i would post two photos that have an 'Empty Theme'
Both photos are from my Hike 7 of this year, which can be found here Hike 7
Photo number one is an old building on the estate we walked through, its definitely been 'empty' for a long time.
Photo number two is a post box that was 'empty' and yes i had checked!
Dont forget to scroll down and see the latest winner of my 'Happy 100's' and of course the rest of my blog!
Have a great weekend!

Those are great shots for today. I think I would have checked the post box, too. :)
ReplyDeletewhat a lonely old building - was it a home? All that moss is really cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing those photos - I'd enjoy seeing more!
Very good pictures for this week's theme, Claire!! The empty house was my favorite.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I love the misty sunlight - makes me miss having seasons :)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a postbox set into the wall like that.... and the cottage looks like it has been there since Shakespeare's time!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful pictures. They make me miss England. We lived there for three years and the coutryside was sooooo beautiful. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures for the theme. Lovely. Bet it was even better in person.
ReplyDeleteLove virtual hiking with you .... Love Tink ..... A dog's dog.
ReplyDeleteThe first picture is great! It reminds of this place in the movie The Village.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, it appears you live in the perfect places to do all those hikes. Beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteMine was too much of a downer to put the "Photo Hunters" logo over it. It is the anniversary of the Exxon Valdez spill and there is still a lot of emptiness and death around the sound.
ReplyDeleteLove your shots. As usual unique.
Oh seeing those photos makes me long to get back to England...I so want to hike in the Lake district and up near Carlisle and Hexum....I love northern England....
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, good to find another brit on the hunt!
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem as you when I tried to take a picture of my empty brain ! Even when I put myself on my head it didn't work. So I choose less interesting objects.

ReplyDeleteHi Claire. Thanks for visiting my photo hunt. I'm late on my visit 'coz I just got home.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing those nice photos. Amazing how many interesting places you see during your hike.
Take care!
All that moss makes me want to plant a shade garden.
ReplyDeleteThe little building is very interesting, and I LOVE the post box picture! How marvelous that it's set right into the mossy stone wall!
I would love to live in that stone cottage. How romantic!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely building! Wonder what memories it holds?
ReplyDeleteHappy Hunting!
Isnt that old little house unique! Love your two photos! Great take on the theme! My photo is up, please come and visit soon
ReplyDeleteNow how do you check the post box to see if it is empty... and why is one out there in what looks to be a stretch of sparsely populated land. Love the old stone buildings with moss growing on the stone. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat neat pictures! Seems like someplace I want to be!
ReplyDeleteThe stone cottage looks very cosy. Great shots. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours of the mailbox in the green surroundings. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove old houses like that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool place to visit!
ReplyDeleteMine's up too :)
It's fun hiking with you without breaking a sweat.
ReplyDeleteI didn't participate, but these photos are awesome (Empress Bee's Northerner word -- awesome). You do need that new camera don't you. Ever think about photography instead of counseling? Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the visits! hiking indeed lets me see all the cool stuff thats in the middle of nowhere.
ReplyDeleteI stuck my hand in post box to see if there was anything in it!
