THE JOHARI WINDOW
The Johari window is named after it’s originators, Joe Luft and Harry Ingham.
It represents what we know about ourselves and what is unknown.
It also looks at what we let others know and what we keep hidden.
Look at the window and write in the different boxes aspects of your own personality and behaviour. Which ones can you write in and which ones are blank?

I will put mine up after some of you have had a go! I don't mean tell me your results, just let me know you have tried it.
Also is there anyone brave enough to face the Nohari Window! what is it? i hear you ask? its the negative version of the Johari window.
Do you know your flaws? I will put the link up to it if you like?
Mine is posted as TomCat48
ReplyDeleteThanks tomcat, are you forwarding it to friends and family too?
ReplyDeleteClaire
I'm going to try this. I want to do the negative aspect window as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm always eager to see how well my perception of myself matches up with the "real" me.....this might help.
ya' think?
It may help if they aren't to harsh about you! i was pleasantly surprised when friends and family said they found it hard to put negative things! I am great!lol!
ReplyDeletewill put up the link now.
Claire
good heavens--
ReplyDeleteI'd forgotten this thang from my school days!
wonder if I've still got my profile from back then packed away somewhere. . . .
:)
but--I can't access it. it tells me I don't have java-- and I know I DO. so, will play with it some more.
:(
Let me know if you manage to sort it out two crows. I think people have had trouble with it before in class, i just found the thing!

Claire, I didn't know how, but I went back, checked out the FAQ, and emailed it to eight people with the subject line "Am I a case of improper potty training?"
ReplyDeleteFor others the link to send to friends is:

You're welcome, Claire. :-)
ReplyDeleteThree replied, and here are the results.

complex
dependable
giving
helpful
logical
loving
organized
sympathetic
The only problem I see with the johari window is its 5-6 choice limit. I think friends may have chosen "facade" items if they had more choices, and I know I would have chosen several "hidden" items had I more choices.
I agree tomcat! i found this site when doing some homework research. Also i think a mix of positive and negative would be good. How hard do you think it would be to make my own interactive window?
ReplyDeleteCheers
Claire
That's really cool!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll show it to my friends :).
Please do! Thanks for the visit white with two sugars, i prefer one sugar myself!lol!

Claire, I don't know how computer literate you are, so I don't know whether or not you could make your own interactive window. I know I don't know enough to do so.
ReplyDeleteA few more folks responded to mine, so here are the final results.
